Cleanse The Temple

In John chapter 2, soon after Jesus performed the first miracle, Jesus goes to the temple in Jerusalem to celebrate the Jewish Feast of Passover.  What He finds is appalling to Him.  The money changers are using the House of God as their personal extortion enterprise.  At that moment, Jesus expresses His righteous indignation because of the junk going on in His house. That is the issue going on in the body of Christ.  So called houses of worship aren’t doing what they were originally called to do. Those churches are entertaining people, but are not moving people into the Kingdom of God or getting people saved. These churches have “big screens, smoke machines and the pastors are wearing skinny jeans.” These churches are trying to manufacture the glory where none is present.  God is having none of that.
Churches that are serving the Lord and doing it the right way are often ridiculed and talked about.  GBFIC, where it is always GLORY time, must keep pressing towards the mark of the high calling of Jesus.  We will not stop. We will not give up. We will worship God in Spirit and in truth.
Jesus is desiring holiness back in His churches.  I hear the Lord saying to GBFIC “Keep up the good work, people of God, because the zeal of the Lord consumes you!”
“After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days. And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise. And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up."
