Not just your church attendance or your knowledge of Scripture, but the actual faith that sustains you day by day? There's a powerful truth woven throughout the Bible that appears not once, not twice, but three times—and when God repeats something three times, there's no room for discussion: "The just shall live by faith."

This declaration appears in Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, and Galatians 3:11. When Scripture emphasizes something with such repetition, we need to pay attention. It's not just a suggestion or a nice spiritual concept—it's the very heartbeat of how we're meant to live as believers.

What Does It Mean to Be "Just"?

Before we can understand living by faith, we need to grasp what it means to be "just." In biblical terms, being justified means looking as though you never sinned. It's the complete work of redemption through Christ that wipes away our past and gives us a fresh start. We all came to Christ with a history, with baggage, with failures—but justification means God sees us through the lens of Jesus' perfection.

The challenge isn't just receiving this gift of justification; it's living it out. Many people don't want to change their past patterns. They don't want to renew their minds. But here's a truth worth remembering: You have to renew your mind and be kind. We are called to love God and love others—even the unlovable.

The 120-Year Reminder

There's something significant about the number 120 in Scripture. When the Azusa Street Revival celebrated its 100-year anniversary in 2016, many took note. But here's what we can't miss: 2026 marks 120 years since that outpouring of the Holy Spirit. And 120 is no random number—it's the number of faithful believers who stayed in the upper room waiting for the promise of the Father.

History tells us that 500 people initially went to that upper room, but only 120 remained. The difference? Stick-to-itiveness. Faithfulness. Perseverance. Everyone can claim to be a Christian, but are you surrendered totally to Jesus Christ? There's a vast difference between true Christians and mere churchgoers.

Faith Based on Knowledge

One of the most powerful concepts in understanding faith is what we might call "faith based on knowledge"—not just intellectual knowledge, but experiential knowledge of God's faithfulness. It's remembering what God has already done and using that as a foundation for believing what He will do.

Think about it this way: If God provided for you when you only had enough for bubble gum, then you can trust Him when you need a Snickers bar. If He opened one door, He can open another. If He canceled one debt, He can cancel more. Faith based on knowledge means building on the testimony of God's past faithfulness in your life.

This is exactly what sustained Abraham. He received a promise from God that he would have a son, and for 25 years—quarter of a century—he stood on that promise. Year after year, as both he and Sarah grew older and the natural circumstances became increasingly impossible, Abraham refused to look at their bodies. He looked at God instead.

You cannot find anywhere that God ever failed. Nowhere.

The Devil's Real Target

Here's a revelation that might surprise you: The devil isn't after your faith. Every person has been given a measure of faith by God. What the enemy is really after is your crazy faith—the kind of faith that believes for healing when doctors say it's impossible, the kind that declares you're debt-free when bills are piling up, the kind that claims the house when you don't have a dollar in your pocket.

That's the faith that terrifies the kingdom of darkness. That's the faith that moves mountains.

Faith Is Action

Faith isn't passive. It's not sitting around hoping things will work out. Faith takes action. When God told Abraham to leave his country and his kindred, Abraham obeyed and went out "not knowing where he was going." That's faith in motion.

Consider what faith looks like practically:

Faith is consistent. It doesn't waver with circumstances. It stands firm day after day, not just in moments of inspiration.

Faith is real. Hebrews 11:1 tells us that "faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for."

Faith is now. Not someday, not eventually, but in this present moment. The moment you believe is the moment your joy becomes full—not when you receive what you're believing for, but when you believe.

Your Faith Project

Here's a practical question that demands an honest answer: What is your faith project right now? What are you believing God for? Can you name it specifically?
Every believer should have a faith project—something that requires you to trust God beyond your natural abilities. It might be financial breakthrough, physical healing, restoration of a relationship, or provision for a specific need. But you need to be able to name it.

Once you've named it, ask yourself: What action do I need to take? Faith without works is dead. If you're believing for a car, go look at the car. Find out the information. Understand what you're believing for. But—and this is crucial—don't get the $700 car when you can only afford $300. Get what you can afford now while continuing to believe for what you ultimately want. That's wisdom working alongside faith.

Speaking Faith

The universe was created by the power of God's words. He spoke, and the invisible realm gave birth to all that is seen. If we're made in His image, our words carry creative power too.
What are you speaking over your life? Are you speaking faith-filled words, or are you complaining, murmuring, and worrying? Remember this: Worry is a sin. It's the opposite of faith. It says, "I don't trust God to handle this."
Feed your faith and starve your doubt. How? By speaking the Word. By declaring truth over your circumstances. Speak to the mountain, and the mountain will be moved. Don't pray to the mountain—command it to move in Jesus' name.

The Faithfulness Factor

God isn't looking for the flashy or the famous. He's looking for the faithful ones. On that final day, the greatest commendation won't be "well done, great and powerful servant," but "well done, good and faithful servant."

All the titles, all the accomplishments, all the impressive achievements mean nothing if we haven't been faithful. God delights in day-after-day faithfulness more than spectacular one-time sacrifices. He values obedience over burnt offerings.

Living Without Faith Is Impossible

Here's the sobering truth from Hebrews 11:6: Without faith living within us, it would be impossible to please God. Not difficult. Not challenging. Impossible.

We come to God in faith knowing that He is real and that He rewards the faith of those who patiently seek Him. This means your spiritual life cannot be built on feelings, circumstances, or even logical reasoning alone. It must be built on faith—trust in the character and promises of God.

Living Without Faith Is Impossible

The just shall live by faith. Not by sight. Not by feelings. Not by circumstances. By faith.

This is your invitation to a faith checkup. How is your faith today? Is it growing or stagnant? Are you building on past testimonies of God's faithfulness, or have you forgotten what He's already done? Are you speaking faith or doubt? Are you taking faith-filled action or waiting passively?

God has given you a measure of faith. The question is: What are you doing with it? Are you feeding it with the Word? Are you exercising it through obedience? Are you stretching it with impossible-seeming faith projects?

Remember Abraham, who believed for 25 years before seeing the promise. Remember the 120 who stayed in the upper room when 500 started. Remember that God has never failed—not once, not ever.

It's time to live as the just—justified, made righteous, and full of faith. It's time to stop checking boxes and start surrendering completely. It's time to move from merely believing in God to having the faith of God operating in your life.

Only believe. That's the call. That's the challenge. That's the pathway to seeing the impossible become possible.

Your faith checkup starts now.

Instead, they encountered the most revolutionary truth in human history: He got up.

Not metaphorically. Not symbolically. He literally, physically, miraculously got up.
And because He got up, everything changed—including what's possible in your life right now.

The Stone That Couldn't Stay

Mark 16:3-4 captures a beautiful moment of human concern meeting divine intervention. The women worried: "Who will roll away the stone?" It was massive, immovable by their strength. But when they arrived, they discovered something stunning—the stone was already rolled away.

Here's what that means for you today: God is moving obstacles you haven't even reached yet.

That financial barrier blocking your breakthrough? God's rolling it away. That relationship wound that seems permanent? God's moving it. That diagnosis, that addiction, that generational curse—God is in the business of rolling away stones that human hands cannot budge.

The angel didn't struggle with the stone. He simply sat on it, as if to say, "This obstacle? It's beneath me now. It's already handled."

When God moves in your life, He doesn't just barely crack open a door of opportunity. He rolls away the entire stone and sits on it in triumph. Nothing that has blocked you—not debt, not sickness, not fear, not your past—can withstand the power of a God who conquered death itself.

The Tomb That Couldn't Hold Him

"He is not here; He is risen" (Luke 24:6).

Five words that shattered the enemy's greatest weapon.

Death had Him for three days. The grave held Him temporarily. Hell thought it had won. But on the third day, everything the enemy thought was finished came roaring back to life with resurrection power.

This is where your faith gets practical. What "grave" in your life needs to release what it's been holding? What dream have you buried? What promise did you give up on? What part of your identity did you allow to die?

God specializes in bringing dead things back to life.

Your dead marriage can resurrect. Your dead finances can come alive. Your dead joy, your dead peace, your dead purpose—all of it can experience resurrection power. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11), which means you carry resurrection power everywhere you go.

The Victory You Already Have

Here's a declaration that assumes facts not yet in evidence: I win.

In a courtroom, lawyers aren't allowed to assume facts that haven't been proven. But in the kingdom of God, faith is "the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). You can declare victory before you see the manifestation because the outcome is already determined.

When Jesus rose from the dead, He didn't just win for Himself—He won for you. First Corinthians 15:57 declares: "Thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Not "will give." Not "might give." Gives—present tense, already done.

This means when debt tries to overwhelm you, you can say: "I win." When sickness attacks your body: "I win." When depression whispers lies: "I win." When circumstances look impossible: "I win, and the devil loses."

This isn't arrogance; it's faith in a finished work. Jesus already defeated every enemy you'll ever face. Your job isn't to win the battle—it's to enforce the victory He already secured.

The Power Transfer

Matthew 28:18 records Jesus saying, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." That's comprehensive authority—nothing excluded, no exceptions, no limitations.
But here's where it gets personal: Jesus didn't keep that power to Himself.

In Luke 10:19, He transfers it: "Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
Read that again slowly. Nothing shall by any means hurt you.

You have been given supernatural authority. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is now operating in your life. You have power over every situation, every circumstance, every attack of the enemy.

This isn't about positive thinking or self-help motivation. This is about understanding your legal authority as a child of God. When you speak to that mountain, it must move (Mark 11:23). When you curse the fig tree of unfruitfulness in your life, it withers (Matthew 21:19). When you bind the enemy's works, they're bound (Matthew 18:18).

You're not begging God to do something He's already done. You're enforcing what Jesus accomplished on the cross and confirmed in the resurrection.

The Feast of Breakthrough

We're living in a season of divine appointments. The ancient feasts of the Lord weren't just for Jewish people—they're prophetic patterns for all believers. Passover represents breakthrough, freedom, and the rolling away of obstacles.

When God instituted these feast times in Exodus 23, He promised seven specific blessings for those who honor them:

Angels on special assignment

God becoming an adversary to your adversaries

Assets for daily living

Affliction removed

Agelessness and long life

Abundance and overflow

A new beginning

These aren't suggestions—they're covenant promises. God is positioning you for breakthrough in every area. The angel assigned to your miracle is already at work, making sure every blessing reaches you.

No More

There's a prophetic declaration rising: No more, says the Lord.

No more will sickness dominate your body. No more will debt control your finances. No more will fear dictate your decisions. No more will the past define your future.

God is breaking gates of brass and cutting bars of iron (Psalm 107:16). Every chain is snapping. Every barrier is crumbling. Every wall is falling down.

Because He got up, you're coming out—with your hands raised in victory, with your voice declaring freedom, with your life demonstrating that resurrection power is real.

The Truth That Changes Everything

If you take nothing else from this moment, take this: He did it for you.

God so loved the world that He gave His only Son (John 3:16), but today, make it personal. He loved you so much that He went to Calvary. He hung on that cross for your sins. He rose from that grave for your victory.

The empty tomb isn't just a historical fact—it's your present reality. Because He got up, you win. Because the stone was rolled away, your obstacles are moving. Because the tomb is empty, dead things in your life are coming back to life.

This is your resurrection season. Receive it. Believe it. Walk in it.

He got up—and so will you.

Yet, the Church as a whole has left that aspect of Jesus’ ministry out. There are churches across America and the world that do not even touch the area of deliverance or worst believe that demons or the darkness does not exist. There is a movie that played in theaters several years ago called “the Kingdom of Heaven” The premise of the film was that the believers in the church would fight against an insurrection in Jerusalem. When I watched that movie for the first time, the film left a lasting impact on my spiritual walk. Not that the film was overly spiritual; it wasn’t or that it had some deep hidden meaning embedded in the film; it didn’t. It just shows what lengths some people would go to hold off the enemy. Every time I go to Israel, I am reminded what we are fighting for. Jesus walked the earth so we can be free and destroy the darkness off of our lives. As a matter of fact we visit and walk the “way of the cross” and feel His pain of the price Jesus paid for our freedom. By denying Jesus’ ministry of deliverance, we deny the power of the cross. The Church needs to get back to making war against the enemy and his imps. Notice in the scripture below, the man with an unclean spirit was in the church. Don’t be fooled there are plenty of people in the church needing deliverance from unclean spirits or other darknesses. It is time for us to make war. GBFIC is called to collide with darkness. I am ready to fight so GBFIC and friends, let’s go! “We need to Make War”

Scripture

“And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? That is the issue going on in the body of Christ. So called houses of worship aren’t doing what they were originally called to do. Those churches are entertaining people, but are not moving people into the Kingdom of God or getting people saved. If you are filled with the Holy Spirit and believer in the redemption of Jesus Christ that occurred on the Cross almost 2000 years ago, then you have to hear me very closely. It is time for Jesus’ power to work through you and you must stand up and tell the devil, “Not Today Satan”. When we get up in the morning you must declare in the atmosphere that you are going to serve Jesus and not going to serve your lust, your flesh or anything else that would separate you from God.

There are two conditions a Christian can develop towards. Let’s investigate them both.

First we can look at a doctrine called the “Carnal Christian”. You have heard me describe this as the meat-head syndrome. This condition is defined as a case where a person places his faith and trust in Jesus for salvation and yet there is no change in his behavior. His mind is still stuck in the past, lustful passions, and isn’t transformed or converted. He or she continues to live in the grip of sin just as they did before and yet it is believed that he is still saved (still debatable).

Secondly there is this other condition we can look at. This is the place we want to be in Christ. A position or a condition of Christian holiness. This would be the case when a person places his faith and trust in Jesus for salvation and he becomes a “new creation” in Jesus Christ. This is full transformation or conversion. This person who is truly converted becomes more and more transformed into the image of Christ and no longer lives in slavery to sin.

Is it possible to live a holy life in a sin saturated world? It is and this is how we do it. We reject the devil, by saying to all his temptations and lustful dainties “NOT TODAY SATAN!”

“ From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. At GBFIC and other sold out for Jesus churches, it is our responsibility to show the believers and unbelievers alike, what Christianity looks like. Living holy should be a tenet of being a Christian, but right now it seems like the exception, not the rule. In 2021, GBFIC will be a lighthouse of holiness, a pillar of grace, a refuge for the people of God seeking a personal and church revival. They will no longer feel like they have been on an island by themselves, as they find out that GBFIC is the place where revival and revelation resides. 2021 is “Glory Time!”

In Jude 1:1-7 KJV, the Word of God states “1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
