Blessed to be a Blessing

Paul, in his second letter to the Corinthian church, wrote a powerful statement about God’s law about giving. He stated a profound thought about what giving does. He determined that giving blesses the giver and the receiver. Remember giving blesses you. Paul wrote “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God can make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: His righteousness remaineth forever. Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;” (2 Corinthians 9:6-12 KJV)

The return that God blesses us with is enormous. He returns our sowing of seeds with multiplication, supply, and righteousness. That’s right we give and receive an overflow of blessings. God does that so that we can sow again, and again, and again, and again. If we spread our seeds to the right and fertile places he provides a harvest of untold blessings in return.

We are blessed to be a blessing!

The humanity of people is astounding. Even more so is true of believers of Jesus Christ. They are willing to open their wallets for the smallest of philanthropic efforts. We are willing to give when it means something to us. It is a heart matter. It is similar to the heart. The human heart is a wonderful thing. It pumps blood in at one valve and then sends it out through another valve. It never stores up blood. It is constantly circulating throughout the body. It gets blood…then it gives blood. It never stores it up for use at a later date. It receives…then gives! It receives…then gives! It receives…then gives! The same is true with any healthy Christian or church. It first receives from God…and then it gives. The giving always starts with God…

We are blessed to be a blessing!

John tells us that “We love Him, because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19 KJV) The same is true with the blessings of God. “We bless, because He first blessed us.” God gives us an example in Leviticus 23:22, where it says “And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.” (Leviticus 23:22 KJV) Lastly, He prophesied to us that we would be blessed. In Genesis 12:2-3, the Word of God states “and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 12:2-3 KJV)

I prophesy to you that YOU ARE BLESSED and ALL FAMILIES OF THE EARTH WILL BE BLESSED THROUGH YOU!!!

Again I say. We are blessed to be a blessing!

In May, Prophetess Adrinne Blackstock instructed us to declare in the atmosphere the following refrain:
May will be filled with blessings.
May will be filled with positivity.
May will be filled with progress.
May will be filled with opportunity.
May will be filled with new beginnings.
May will be filled with “peace of mind.”

God blesses us so that we can and will bless someone else.
