There Is Glory In This House

Nov 17, 2021

Glory is an important factor to whether we decide to visit a church and stay there or keep looking. The local church is the place where God’s glory and His presence should and needs to reside. If a person goes to church and finds the power of God operating from the pulpit to the parking lot, it can most likely be felt before he or she leaves their vehicle. There are several instances in the Word of God that shows God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit’s glorious presence in the temple. We are going to see what happens when we let God’s glory enter the building that has His name on it.

Here in the book of Exodus we see what happens to the church’s leader when we let God’s glory fill the temple. “And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work. Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.” (Exodus 40:33-35 KJV) There we see that Moses could not even enter the temple because the glory cloud and thus the power of God was so tangible.

Next, we see in the book of Ezekiel that there is angelic activity when the presence of God’s glory is in the temple. “Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne. And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight. Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court. Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD's glory.” (Ezekiel 10:1-4 KJV)

Lastly, we look at a passage of scripture where Solomon when building the temple was instructed by God to include Him. Solomon did that by having the ark of the covenant’s presence a focal point of the temple. When Solomon followed God’s command the presence of Yeshua and the Holy Ghost was so tangible that the priest could not even stand to minister in the building. “And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.” (1 Kings 8:10-11 KJV)

I believe that the Acts 2 experience is coming back to the church. The glory is already presence at Glory Bible Fellowship International Church and other churches. The fire of revival is here! GBFIC feel the glory!
